A lot of people are going to frown on me for this!
But the GN250 is beyond hope... I crave a scooter but 50cc isnt fast enough... 125 isnt enough either... I dont want a massive maxi scooter, but I have fallen in love with the Gilera runner vx200. my gn is 21hp out of the factory and has seen better days, so It's probably pushing 19hp and I find this fairly ample. the Runner is 19hp out of factory and what can I say, I like tinkering and there are various chavvy tid-bits that I want for it. Malossi bore kit+camshaft+crank, polini variator hahaha! Woo do I feel happy.
I know this isnt everyones cup of tea but...

I also have a scoot which is great fun but mainly for commuting.

I have had a few and the only thing I can say is beware the Italian scoot.

I had a gilera runner 2 stroke 180cc and it was great. Perfect for in town commuting. Never had any problems with it, other than it being stolen by scum bags.

Have to admit I prefer to be seen on a motorbike than a scooter, but a scooter is more practical in town.

what you ought to get is a classic Triumph Tigeress 200 or 250, (four-stroke), they were amazingly sophisticated for their day, and a true classic and far less common than a Vespa or Lambretta, but still with the sort of idiocyncracies that give your GN some 'charecter', 'Charm' and make it a right royal pain in the arse to live with as a daily rider!

How could you possibly want to be depicted as a chavvy runtbag that everyone on the road will hate because you're riding a nasty scooter with even nastier tarty-bits on it that aren't worth the tacky plastic they are made out of?

Even worse, how could you be HAPPY and excited about that? You have passed your test!

Go get a proper bike that isn't a ratbike and get a crappy scooter for commuting, don't spend money on something that doesn't warrant spending money on.

Oh, also, if you're going to ride like a knob on the road, it's probably better you get off the road before one of us drives into you because you're riding like a knob so we can't predict what you're going to do and end up crashing into you when you cut us up like most chavvy runts do that give the rest of us bad names.
