Hi All,

not long been moved out of my dads place into my own home. I sold my CBR before i left and that was in a secure garage with ground anchors etc. Just bought a ninja but i'm yet to collect it as i dont really have the place to store it yet. I only have a smallish yard (alley kitchen) with no obvious anchoring points apart from a steel pole for the washing line. Question is what options do i have for securing it ( i have a cover from my CBR which will fit it) before i bring it home. On a bit of a budget and i'm not really power tool friendly for drilling holes in the floor haha! Plus its a rented house so i dont know if the landlord would give us permission to start punching holes in the ground?

Get a large barrel, one of those rain water ones or even an old oil drum, cut holes in the side and fit a piece of drainpipe through it to form a channel. Fill the barrel with gravel, rocks, scrap steel, bits of brick and any other old heavy junk you can find and top it off with a layer of concrete.

You are left with a fook off heavy barrel that you can thread a chain through and attach to your bike.

Thats a canny Idea! Can i buy concrete that i can just sort of pour in? or do i need a mixer of sorts (noob with manual labour here ha!)

buy a bag of readymix (its usually just a premix of 3 parts sand, 1 part cement), just add water, up to you if you want to add some aggregate but for this purpose I wouldn't bother
