Seriously what is this thing and why have I not heard of them before, mate just linked it to me.

No you can not! it has 4 wheels, therefore not a two wheeled motorbike so does not fit the "A" category!

You need a B1 to drive it on the road Brick Wall

No if your licence says you have a full Category B1 entitlement you can legaly drive one, not every person who passed their bike test before 2001 got B1 automatically

Far from boring here CHRI5, we don't have a NSL on the island so we get to ride our bikes the way they were designed to be ridden... Laughing

ahh, whats petrol like there?

couple of people from college live there and there always moaning about how everything is so expensive.

apparently freight is like 1300 quid a meter on the ferry.

We're paying about £1.34 for unleaded and £1.40 for diesel, fuel is usually more expensive here, freight charges aren't that bad but obviously most things are more expensive to cover shipping.
There are other benefits to living here, no chains, disk locks, alarms or ground anchors required here, most locals don't even take the keys out of the bike. All in all it's a much safer place to live than the UK.

Apologies to the OP for hijack.

There are a range of Microcars out there you can possibley ride on a Motorbike licence as my Grandad only has bike licence and since can't get Reliant anymore he had to get a Microcar.

You missed out the best thing about the island. The smell of wood burning fires on a winters day as you walk through Castletown. Bliss.

He also drove the P50

The Peel P50's most famous television appearance occurred on the 28th of October 2007, featuring in a segment on BBC Two's motoring show, Top Gear. It involved the presenter, Jeremy Clarkson, entering the car, then driving through central London to work.

Clarkson, who is 6 ft 5 in (196 cm) tall, demonstrated that it was possible, although difficult, for tall people to get into the P50. Upon arriving at the BBC, he drove past the car parks, between bollards, to the front of the building, after which he pulled the P50 behind him to his office.

He then drove the P50 through the corridors of the office building and used a standard passenger lift to get to a meeting, which he attended inside the P50. At the end of the meeting Clarkson drove out of the building and stated that, if the car had a reverse gear, it would be the "ultimate in personal mobility".

The episode has been repeated numerous times since it's airing and has become the third most watched video clip on the Top Gear website.
