Hi All
I've only recently started to notice these blue camera things all over main roads.
The poles are the same thickness as a lamp post and are painted navy blue. The cameras are normally in pairs facing both directions of the road but are sometimes single. The best way to describe the cameras is that they are similar looking to a tannoy speaker cone/ megaphone but with glass at the front. My mate says they are new speed cameras but i thought they may just be counting the volume of traffic????

Regards.

They are part of the traffic master network.. used to log road conditions etc etc.. they take a pic of the centre part of your numer plate to get stats about road conditions, where people travel and average speed etc.. nowt to do with the police and they are not allowed to keep data about your number plate etc etc...
