Was told to prepare for a fall and well after 3 or 4 months it happened in todays rain...

Was coming off a round about pretty sharp corner back wheel slid out and then me and the bike went for a slide along the road... Crying or Very sad

Not so bad had a look at bike and seemed only the left peg had damage.

Started up again and got too work...

Nice woman in a car stopped see if i was okay...

A patch of oily tarmac, a little too much lean angle, and/or too eager on the go-go juice off the roundabout??

Glad to hear you're OK though

Funny thing is, I dropped my bike at 3 MPH yesterday too!

LOL. Damaged my R and G protectors a tiny bit, was too dark to check out the rest.

Rain is bad, rain is bad, but I rode over about 50 cm of grass onto pavement that lead to a step down to the road and got caught out! Silly me!

As for a fall, it always happens, so no sweat. I had my first crash exactly a year after, but learnt to not speed on speed bumps ever again!

I can beat that...

I'd had my old NSR for a few months, out one day, stopped at a blindish corner to check for traffic and bang, on my arse, I'd forgotten to put my feet out !...

I know a CBT instructor that did that whilst taking some newbie riders out, Pulled in by a burger van for a coffee and splat!
Makes you feel better when you know EVERYBODY screws up sometimes eh?

My first off was just after I passed my test, in light rain and approaching a roundabout off a dual carriageway. I was with my mate paula who had been riding a few years and I felt the back end slide, then correct itself, then slide the opposite way... As I was going down I looked in my mirror to make sure Paula wasn't going to run over the top of me, and spot her doing exactly the same! It was like a synchronised crashing exercise. Laughing
So ended up both of us on the floor on the roundabout, cars stopped (one of the knobs thought it was helpful to beep me to get out of the way) Paula with a dislocated shoulder and me with a fit of the giggles.
As we de-helmeted we could smell the fuel on the road. So now fuel spills on roundabouts is a bit of a paranoia for me.

Loz, the first thing I did was jump up and make sure nobody had seen me do it, luckly the forty or so kids on the park opposite weren't looking my way, got the bike up, re-bent the clutch lever and buggered off quick Laughing

I can beat that, I went out and started my GS500 walked inside to grab something I had forgotten, and about 20 seconds later, Crash! it had vibrated off of the stand.

Nearly did the exact same thing the other night. Me and some mates were having a blast round, came off the roundabout too quick, back end skidded what felt like miles and did a semi tankslapper. Scared the shit outta me at the time.

Sickpup can beat that... He was outside with my bike, running the engine for some reason, when the bike vibrated off it's stand and crashed onto a concrete bollard in front of his eyes.

I've stupidly come off my scooter at about 5mph when wrenching the front brake as hard as I could on a wet road.... I wanted to see which one would give up first... the engine or the brakes.... unfortunately the front wheel locked up and the scooter went one way and I went the other.... luckily it was at 1am Smile
