I have an iphone 3gs and I transferred all my photos to the phone via itunes.

I then reformatted my computer as it was running shit.

Everything is back up and running again but now I can't transfer the photos back!

It will only allow me to sync photos on the PC which is obviously empty as I just flattened it.

When I plug the iphone in it will only allow me to copy photos in the "camera roll" folder and nothing else.

any ideas how I can transfer my old photos back?

Email them all to yourself?

If you have jailbroken then I recall you being able to SSH into the device and play around with the file system, So i guess you can just copy the images out that way.

However I'm quite out of touch with iPhones so maybe someone else will have a better solution.

Plug the cable in as normal, open windows explorer (Win key + E )

Look for your iphone on the left, click it. You'll see all your photo's in the root folder. If not, there will be 1 other folder there.

Just use the drag and drop method. Start > My Computer > iPhone > xxxx

xxxx is what ever file the photos are saved to as standard. To find what is standard, take a picture and use the above method to search for the picture., then hopefully, you can just drop the older ones in there.
