Hi,

I need to change the lower head bearings on my firestorm and want to know if I can do it without taking the forks off the bike??

Cheers

Nope, it's a case of forks off time for changing head bearings. Thumbs Up

Yep, forks off, yoke right off.

Before you start make sure you have a proper drift to use to bang them out, plenty of fuel in your blowlamp and when you get stuck for ways of getting the old races out, I know a real neat trick with a welder. Wink

A big length of threaded bar with a nut on each end and some repair washers makes an ideal device for seating the new races down square in the yoke, no hammering involved.
