INSUFFICIENT DATA FOR A MEANINGFUL ANSWER.
Do you have the spring?
If not, tie-wrap or duct tape the stand up and order a new spring.
If you do have the spring, then man up and re-attach it. The attachment points will be 1-2cm further apart than the furthest that you think the spring will stretch.
Bring pliers and a big screwdriver, as you'll have to haul or lever it back into place under considerable tension. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I see you have never been shown the 'knack', Roger....
No undo stand pivot bolt, attach spring between frame lug and pin on the stand, THEN re-attach the stand and push the pivot pin back in...
Will take some leverage to pry it into place, BUT, its usually a damn site easier than trying to stretch the spring over the noggins!
There is another trick with a bit of strong wire or a bit of old bowden (brake) cable, and looping it round the end of the spring and one off the noggings, doubles up so the force you put pulling on the end is doubled by the pulley effect, but once you have the hook close to the noggin, you still have the hassle of trying to get it clipped round it. ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!
