Hi

If I remember rightly on the CB400N there are a pair of cross headed screws in the inlets between the engine and the cylinder head (one on each inlet). You unscrew those and screw in an adapter piece which the vacuum gauges can then connect to.

All the best

one more thing going to put K&N fillets on my CB400N
as i can not find the pipes from the air box to the carbs
new pipes
but the shop said i have to change the jet two 115
he said the main jet is 1.08 but in the book the main jet is 0.78
and the secordry is 1.08
so where do i put the new jet or do i have to change both jets main and secordry

I guess you'll have to check around the bike breakers for a salvaged part for replacing the missing air duct/tube from the Air cleaner housing to the carb unit, as I can't see it on ebay and oem sellers either Europe or USA due to it being discontinued part due to the age of the bike!

Looks like it was sold as a part replacement for the air box itself and so I guess you'll have to get it from a breaker as complete unit instead or will allow the air tubes/ducts to be sold seperately, as that was once orderable in the past on it's own, but not anymore due to it being discontinued!

Looking on CMSNL it looks like the hoses aren't separate but part of the airbox.

Might be possible to make up a section from silicone tube.

All the best
