Just received one off ebay, has indicators built in.

My question... how does it connect up? Brake light looks simple, it's a factory connector, but indicators could be interesting (not had time to look so far)

Anyone done it?

Did you need resistors for the indicators?

Each indicator has 2 wires, connect it to the corresponding wires, simple.

Resistors are pointless, and a bodge get a led (if they are LED lights) flasher unit.

Those integrated lights are crap though you can't see the indicators especially if you are on the brakes. They also will not pass a MoT.

It's E-marked, I'll have to see what it's like, for £40 it's not a bank buster.

For reference, the indicators are seperate to the rest of the light which is good.

As what Chris said. I had integrated LED rear lights on my ZXR250. All I effectively did was connect the two wires from each indicator from the rear light in-lieu of the factory fitted jobbies.

I initially ran the rear turn signals in parallel with the integrated LED's so I didn't really need to use a resistor.

However, on the Blade, I run LED signals all round - 6 of them (2x on the mirrors, 2x on the side fairings and 2x on the rear). Even then they were hyperflashing with the standard relay. £9.99 honda LED relay off ebay (bike-it branded) will be a direct replacement and will solve the flash rate issues instantly.

It's a lot tidier than faffing about with resistors, because sometimes you need to make sure they've got the right rating for the wattage. I spent 20 quid on resistors at hein gericke only for them to NOT work properly on the ZX6R!

Just because it's E-Marked doesn't mean it'll pass its MOT. One of the strange anomolies in our MOT system.

Rear indicators should be 240mm apart (from memory). In an integrated tail light, they won't be. Wouldn't be surprised if it still passed with it though.

Half of the time these things depends on if the tester got laid the night before. Razz

As an integrated unit if 'E' marked it should pass an MOT but that unit isn't 'E' marked as they claim it is 'E' coded which doesn't exist.

Well i attempted to put it on the bike, it's just not bright enough compared to the stock unit.

So i think i will sell this one and find some normal smaller indicators an tail tidy, bit of a shame but i don't fancy cutting up my wiring loom or having a dim tail light.

The MOT has no requirement for the distance between the indicators, that's a construction & use reg or something similar.

These can fail an MOT by them being seen to interfere with another light, however with the one thats been posted here they are seperate light so are fine.

For the record - I'd pass a bike with an integrated unit fitted as long as the owner wasn't being a cock. Thumbs Up

I've got one on my 600RR. Fits just as others have said. You will also need a relay block thingy.

Mine passed an MOT twice with no issues.
