Hey Gang!

I loved my rd 125 lc so much i went out and i am now the owner of a rd 350 f2 =)

The engine runs fine and everything works as it should.

However this is the full faired model and some of the plastic's are a little on the old side (bit's scratched and lug's missing)

I would like to take the fairing off and make it into a naked "Street Fighter"

Now, the clock and headlight bracket's are huge and hold up the cockpit.
I would like to know the best way to re-mount the clocks and lights so they are closer to the handlebars and put on a nice looking round or square light with a nice trim.

What would i need and is there maybe a mount from another bike that would do the trick ?

Thanks
Truzo

if i were you id go for an acewell or koso speedo
(if you are running 12v) or a trail tech if not (no battery supply needed)

if you still want the original items then most top yokes have bolt holes each side, make a bracket
or p[ossibly get a set off an older naked model and bolt them to the top yoke

That is the kind of thing i am after !!!

I currently have the clip-on handlebars.
So im assuming i will have to get another top yoke to take the conversion ?

I have been looking and have found general stanchion clips for indicators and headlights, but i cant find another way around the clocks ><

Hi again

I have looked at your bracket that is on ebay and i dont see how it can bolt onto my bike in any way.

There is no extra bolt holes in my yokes and i am a little confused by it.

I was looking around on the bcf for restorations and found this.

The bike in the images has the same yoke layout as mine. note how there isnt any headlight/clock bracket holes.

The bracket just seems to fit around the stanchions. This looks to me like a better fit.

By the way, i would like to keep the clip-ons if possible.

Any more advice will be greatly welcome.

Mine uses standard clocks with an N2 headlamp and bracket. I'll dig out pics when I get home.

It bolts straight onto the yoke pinch bolts. Two at the bottom and two at the top. It has to be well and truly fixed to the bike as it takes quite a bit of weight with the clocks and the headlamp.

I have looked into it more and i see what you mean !

I cant say i have seen a fitting like this before as most of my old bikes clocks cliped right onto the front of the yoke (not the pinch bolts).

One more thing i would like to know before i start hacking away at my bike is the clock's.

Will any rd 350 lc/2 or "n" clocks go right on with no drama ?
The truth is that im not great with wiring and would like the easyest way of doing it :)

By this i mean the wiring is the same, I dont mind sodering individual wires if they all match. It would be better if the block connectors all match but i fear that im asking too much for this.

Thanks
Truzo.

You can *just* about see from this picture, but there is a framework with four loops on it which slide over the fork legs. All of the gubbins is attached to this.
