Hi All,

Anyone have experience of Go Buy Bikes in Bradford? Seem like a decent outfit from phone conversations I've had. Thinking of buying from them so just wanted to see if any other members had used before.

cheers
Straker

I've near dealt with them but they dont seem to have there own website. Most dealers have their own site these days along with current bikes for sale. Maybe just a smaller operation but i wouldn't be to sure!

Supplemental question to my original.

Bradford to London on a 2004 R6?

Not advisable? Will I need traction afterwards to mend my spine?

it depends are you talking a commute or a one of trip etc.

I'm sure you couple plot a nice route avoiding a lot of motorway that would more interesting. I wouldn't do it regularly you will trash your back and your tyres.

Just a one off trip to pick up the bike (assuming I go ahead with the purchase).

Figured I would cime back the boring route via the motorway as would probably need to stop somewhere over night otherwise. Must be a good five hour ride.

It's only 200 miles, it won't require a stop, just plan a decent route back avoid alot the motorway it will be more comfortable and more fun it will let you get to grips with the bike,

If you're definitely going to buy, I may be able to help out with cheap delivery as I'll be doing Bradford -> Reading in a week and a half and about the same to go via the M25.
Just putting it out there - if it was me buying an expensive bike I'd want to look first probably.

No idea on the dealer, but that area has quite a few dealers who deal in crash damaged bikes.
So get a check on the bike before you commit to the trip up to bradford.

Is this the dealer Here otherwise known as Grahams m/c
Quote:
deliver nationwide. You could have a bike delivered to your home or work and if it’s not as described I’ll bring it back. No obligation to buy! Over 30 years experience in the motorcycle trade so you can buy with confidence.

Trip to London a couple of hours. Have you ever ridden a bike with a riding position like that ? If not then perhaps getting delivered might be a better option.
Although if weather is good, it could be a great trip.[/quote]

I bought my first gpz500 from Grahams. It was a fair few years back when he was at his old place but it was as he described apart from a couple of bits that he was upfront about.

Yep, that is the dealer.

Taking a trip up tomorrow for a look. I was previously on a CBR 600 FY (sold this week). I understand the riding position on an R6 is a bit more 'race focused'. Hoping it won't cripple me if I do end up buying and riding back to London.

More race focused that a 600F for sure, 200 miles isnt overly bad, I've done 90 on a Daytona 600, picked up a GSXR1000 and ridden back within 15 mins of stopping.. bit vibey on the bum Laughing but was a nice ride, no back ache or anything... both were fairly "hug the tank or get off" journeys

There is around 5 companies I've seen now all based there, I think it's the same owner from them all. I bought my bike from them (called Rite Bike) and haven't had a problem at all. After I had mine though I did find another thread on here about someone who got a bike from them (under a differant company name) and had nothing but trouble..

If I remember it correctly it was an imported CBR? I may be getting it mixed up with another thread though.

This is the only bike I've had, so it may be my lack of knowledge hasn't lead me to spot any problems yet, but I haven't had any, and the guy I was dealing with was friendly and helpful.

The get their bikes from webuyanybike.com. This is all assuming that this is another name for them!

I know nothing at all about this company or any companies associated to it. What I do know is that you should do some serious research regarding your route to the dealers and your route back home. Do not get yourself lost in that area of Bradford as it's well rough.

I wouldn't worry about the area. You wouldn't want to live there but it's perfectly safe and normal during the daytime.

EDIT: Sorry this post wasn´t about the company in the thread. My post is about another company in the same area. I have not heared anything bad about the other bike companies in the area, the opposite. Apologies for misunderstanding.

Even if this thread is old I want to warn everybody about this vivamoto in Bradford. THere are lots of people out there who has had really bad experience. Ths company has so much bad reputation so they deal under several names,

Vivamoto
vivamoto ltd
vivamoto.co.uk
webuyanybike
webuyanybike.com
we buy any bike ltd

rite bike
rite_bike
Ritebike

Please beware and avoind at all costs.

Here is a thread about them:

https://teessidebikers.proboards.com/thread/23012/viva-moto-bradford-dealings?page=1

Here if my experince documented with letters and work shop protocols and youtiube clips. There is a lot of evidence so anybody have a doubt take a look at the documents, from European Consumer Center and Trading Standard.

No I have tried with European Consumer Center. The company refuse to give a satisfacting answer. I would love to post their answer to ECC if there is any interes. If you want to buy a motorbike avoid this/these companies at all cost:

Vivamoto
vivamoto ltd
vivamoto.co.uk
webuyanybike
webuyanybike.com
we buy any bike ltd

rite bike
rite_bike
Ritebike

The told ECC that they sold the motorbike as a pile of junk and they have told me it didn´t work and it has to be picked up on a trailer and can´t be droven. Previously they told me it was in great condition before it left the store. They also try to blame the shipping company. So basically unless you want to buy a pile of junk like me avoid I have all documents to back my story up at the Benelli forum.

And the answer to your question is no I haven´t got my money back. But I will and I am working on a court process.

I want to get in touch with anybody who had problem with this company.

I also need help from a solicitor/lawyer or anybody who is interested and could help me and get compensated. Please if you know anything affordable let me know.

I would really appreciate that! They shouldn´t be selling anything to poor consumers. Internet is full of their bad reviews from them. Unfortunately they are cleaning up. So I am always updating forum post to keep it fresh.

If you know anybody willing to help and get compensated please let me know, laywer, solicitor or just with time and knowledge within consumer rights.

Thanks for caring!

I'm pretty certain Graham's Motorcycles/GoBuyBikes are nothing to do with Viva Moto, despite being on the same industrial estate.

Graham's always had a good reputation as an independent BMW specialist (he was an ex-Allan Jefferies BMW mechanic).

Take the A1, not the M1 as it's a lot less tedious Thumbs Up

I drive to London and back on a regular basis and it's about a four hour journey. Wouldn't fancy it on a 2004 R6 though having ridden a mates when it was new Shocked

Apologies for the misunderstanding. The company I wrote about in my posts about had nothing to do with the company in this post. They were just located in the same area in Bradford.
