I thought i'd leave this a few days after the program and see if anyone else commented on it. There was a program on channel 4 the other day that was about the racist views between the black and asain communities, what I find really funny is that they had 2 asian girls on the program saying how black peope are lazy and are all on drugs etc... There was some really racist stuff in the program yet none of the main stream media said anthing about any of it. This goes to prove my point that it is one rule for one group of people and another rule for others.

The program also had an interesting interview with a 16 year old lad who had been attacked by a group of somalian lads with a brick, now this poor lad was beaten to within an inch of his life yet there wasn't even a mutter in the papers I read let alone the local and national news.

This fucking country is one big pile of fucking horse shite...

wave i agree to some point about if you are white you will be prosecuted...but if your black, it is slightly more "ok" due to the oppression they have suffered (which i'm not disputing at all).

it's all political correctness gone wrong.

I do agree that what the program showed was not only disgusting, but an insight to another side of racism that is kept behind closed doors.

The only racism shown in the media is white people beating on other ethnic minorities...more should be shown from the other side of the fence.

As an interesting side-statistic, I've noticed that Asian punters NOTICEABLY often turn their nose up at VERY attractive black working girls - whether african or caribbean - and give the distinct impression of distaste.

Which I find even more distasteful, personally.

And then they have the cheek to claim people being openly racist about them.

(I can't put here what one of them said, because it would definitely be classed as racial hatred). After he said it, he told me he wanted to see the other one (blonde) (who was in fact, not working and in civvies, come to visit us for something) - I told him to fuck off, and he got all self-righteous about things - at NO point during which I actually called him any racial epithets - merely ejected him politely from the front door without touching him, and he cursed me for being racist because I would not let him stay.

That's what really annoys me, you can't have an opinion or debate or constructive argument with an Asian person, but they play the race card, that fucking annoys me!!

I know and have met through my travels quite a few African / Caribbean's / Maori's / Somoans (get my drift, people of different race and ethnic backgrounds) and never, ever have I been afraid to have a heated discussion debate for fear they would call me racist!!!!

And in saying that, yes, I have worked with a few asian's and been quite friendly with them in the workplace, but have seen them play the race card too many times when not called for, hence why, they turned into acquaintances rather than friends.

Bunch a fags... I go to a catholic college, and you have SHITLOADSA asians, i.e. 70% of the total population, therefore making my white m8s the minority. At least in my high school, we seemed to share a lot of respect between each other (blacks, whites, asians & orientals) Now, these pricks always seem to ask for lots of trouble thinking it's their turf, so i reckon one day, a few of my skinhead m8s might just go over with our Crusade and sort them out... We've had enuff of their bloody ruud boy Paxter boi racer cars and rather wierd anglo-bengali - i've got a fucked up lip and cant talk properly linguo distracting us from our studies. However, there is a small minority that deserves respect and i have to acknowledge them for that.

BTW, some blacks do get sentanced. I had an acquaintance put into feltam for jumping my white skater m8 in Harrow. He's in there for some time, so that does go to show that there MAY be some justice down here, but not enough.

Fair enough, sounds like she has a chip on her shoulder about being asian, which fair enough she might be entitled to have if she thinks everyone is discriminating against her, which in some way or other they probably are ( that may or may not have anything to do with her ethnic origins)

Personally, dunno who this girl is, I would try and ignore the fact she played the race card, and try and understand why she did. Building bridges between differences might take more work. I suppose it depends whether you can be bothered.

And certainly if I were a person in a position of authority I would probably be bound to investigate what her motives were in saying something like that, whether or not they had any foundation in the workplace.

Maybe she couldn't cope because she was a women Laughing

I would probably say that yes, I am quite a racist person, however, like you say Atom, most people have some form of racist issues.

I would like to add though I have NEVER, been directly impolite, rude, nasty or singled a person out due to their race, ethnic background etc. I treat people as I find them on face value individually.

I'm just sick of having to tiptoe around other people because of all this god-damn bloody political correctness for everyone else in this country except for the country's own bloody rightful citizens!!!

I hope that noone finds me wholly bigotted but, Its not a good era to be a young white male! Having to tiptoe round other races etc... but having to tiptoe round women because of sexual harassment allegations, no wonder the majority of white men are tired and pissed off because it would seem that everyone has a cop out but the aforementioned.

It seems that the balance has gone full circle now rather than being equal he former repressors are now the repressed!

I have had dealings in the past but black persons say they want more respect but people don't talk to them generally because they are scared of the consequences of saying the wrong thing out of turn, yet if a white man was to claim harassment etc.. they generally get fobbed off

We'll I suppose admitting it is the first step, but the way I see it, things are as they are, we live in a mixed race, multi ethnic country.
I doubt much will change that now, and I'd prefer if we all got along, as much for my sake as for others. So if all I have to do is think a bit about how I treat others, its not asking much.
