Been trying to fit a new chain and sprockets to the ninja all day! Never attempted to do it myself before so I wasn't expecting to do it in 15 minuites, just take it nice and slow and do it right.
The only problem I had was getting the chain to fit snugly on the rear sprocket properly, whatever I did it just wouldn't fit quite right. The garage I got it from is very professional so the thought didn't cross my mind that the chain could be wrong but it was exactly that..

So basically I wasted a good 3 hours scratching my head and fiddling with the wheel and chain Sad atleast I know now to always check the chain first lol!

Some good has come from it anyway, I bought the cheapo iris O ring chain (it was 520 instead of the 525 it should have been) but the garage didn't have the right one in stock to swap it with so I got the DiD X ring one they did have in stock for no extra cost Thumbs Up

I really rate the DID X rings - look after it well and it will last a long time.

You win by ditching that IRIS piece of crap! They are prone to snapping, don't ya know! (I have first hand experience of this), whereas my current DID is over 15'000 miles old and still going strong. Thumbs Up

Consider fitting a Scottoiler as well if you don't have one seeing as you have a nice new chain and sprockets.

If a Scottoiler seems a bit pricey there's always a Loobman or Tutoro. Not tried the Tutoro but would recommend a Scottoiler.

My bike is a YBR125... maybe that 11bhp was too much for the cheese that they used to make the chain from. Very Happy

I would mate but I intent on selling it pretty soon and getting a newer G or J model. Sprayed it up with chain lube Thumbs Up

Like I said mate, that raw power is just... waaay too much for that chain. Maybe you should get a lower powered bike Laughing
