I've seen a Termi full system for sale (New) for about £500 and was wondering if it's worth swapping my Akra system over?

I know they are pretty rare and the price seems good but isn't it essentially the same as my Akrapovic one? If I did go for it I'm guessing I could sell my Akrapovic system for about £400

What's the point? You ride on the road you won't notice any power gain, you're just being a tart. Laughing

The Akrapovic is better, it is only rare because they never made many because they are not as good as Akrapovic.

On the Termi system I've just seen a picture and it's exactly the same as what I have Laughing

I thought termi's were only good for twins? All the racers use akro for IL4 and termis for twins

The only change you will notice is a different exhaust note.

If you like the current note from the Akrapovic? Why change?

Plenty of stuff you can spend £500 on for a bike, hell a guy on the GSXR forums has a turbo kit for a GSXR600 going for nearly that price! Laughing! Could buy an Ohlins Damper for that too, maybe even a used TTX rear shock.

I don't even have £500! Hence selling the current system if I did decide to do it but I didn't, it's just a moment of me loosing my mind for a bit Laughing

£500 seems ridiculously cheep for a full termi system ... are you 100% sure that A) Its not just end cans, or just the down pipes? B) There genuine termi?

Another thing to note is that some dodgy dealers/scrappys/cnuts sell cheep pipes with top end cans, but charge for the full whack.

[EDIT]
Are you looking at the Harley Custom website? Because they sell the down pipes and the end can separately £550 for the tubes and fittings + £400ish for the end cans.

You habe too much time on your hands! Bet you browse a lot of stuff every day. :p

I told you, The Ninja sounds loud when in high rev and very quiet when under 5 k and it starts to be quite nice at 8k.

Come for a ride with me LoL.

Expensive for an exhaust system!

I presume he means second hand.

In the end, if the 'Termi' badge is worth it to you, go for it, otherwise, don't Smile.

+1

I was looking at the Temi's for my Duc and they are just not worth the money. For a similar and/or smaller price you can get a much higher quality LeoVince, Zard or Arka.
Even most of the Ducatsti sites (who prob buy the most Termi systems) are bemoaning the quality.

They are new, someone from the US selling them on another forum and it worked out to £500 shipped to the UK. I'm not getting them anyway like I said above! Laughing

As for quality on termi system yes they are different with each set. My Monster ones had a different gap on each side and quite few people said they had similar things with some being shorter etc Laughing
