that'd be spam,

if you are opening a forum there are 2 things you need,
1 wiring diagram
2 workshop manual

with out them its just pointless, cg riders would be better off on this forum as every man and his dog on here has owned a cg during there biking lifetime,

Poor design for a new forum, to my mind.

Too many different sections with not enough content. No obvious 'view all'.

Interesting also that you're willing to link your 'corporate' hughesdesigns website to attempts to spam, may not be an ideal connection.

Perhaps we should join up to his forum and suggest users come here for a better resource.

We could then ask all his users to advertise our forum for him, giving some basic instructions on the tasks required. Wink

I tend to be more leniant towards those that have a single-bike forum, but it does look like only the smallest effort in regards to starting off the site as a place of knowledge was made.

I believe this site, whis evolved from the forum on NSR125 is an ideal example of such a site should evolve - start with a site with USEFUL information. Have a small forum with a couple of sections.
By having fewer sections, it encourages people to participate as they get to see more of what's going on.

Split out sections only as they get to the point they're so popular that they have a high turn over on the first page of the forum.

I think starting from a base of knowledge is important - especially if you're trying to push your general image. This way people WANT to visit.
There are plenty of guides about doing this PROPERLY out there. Some good ones on the vbulletin site last time I looked (which I came across while rsearching code changes to vbulletin forums.)

I do, now note, that you have been a member here for a while, which is better than being a new member. If you had more posts on here and had introduced it in a more friendly manner, no doubt people would have been more willing to help rather than just criticise.

Just checked it out.

A few problems on my end, page renders fine in chrome, but when I scroll the banner appears twice and the text changes to very very large text.

Good news is your site address has all the key features someone will search for Laughing

Oh and if you want to do social media advertising, Korn has got it a little better sorted. Massive amounts of info on this.

For instance here Korn adds a button very easily advertise BCF on facebook (like) on this site and not only that, but offers a benefit (Karma bribe) to people that particpate in the online group.
