https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9twUAi1Q4o0

I see many Gym vids on youtube, many riders ride NSR250 but he rides CBR600. He's wearing red number that means He's class A.
If you see vids of riders with green or blue numbers, I think you notice the difference.
What I was amazed at him was how close he passes pylons, how smooth and deep lean and relaxed.
I can't ride fast and lean deep like that, so I want to learn how he looks forward of the course.

Very cool vid!

Anyone else notice how the back wheel slides out a little at the beginning?

I noticed it at the first right turn when he passes the first pylon when I saw the vid carefully.

I wonder why they don't hang off in Gym races while racers hang off on race tacks. Is it down to the speed they are riding Question

Looks like he was reaching down to fiddle with the idle adjuster at the end, so probably turn it way up so you're never down at really low revs even if you shut off completely.

He just doesn't have the time to be moving his body from one side of the bike, to the other.

Very impressive at 1:40. Scrap that. The whole thing is impressive.

Seems a little high? Pretty much the top of the cylinder head. Is it in a differnt place on newer bikes?

Aprilia had Cold Start on the left handlebar.

I think its amazing stuff watching them. They are doing things on a high powered bike that I can only dream about. I'd love to have that kind of control and confidence to throw the bike around like that.

It takes me a whole street to do a U turn at slow speed and they are doing it in a quarter of the space at a higher speed.

I hate them! Laughing

Perfect conditions, warm tyres & low centre of mass. Mystery solved. Smile

I expect that's he probably was turn his idle back down to be honest, also note the larger than standard rear sprocket.

The idle adjuster is near his knee, I reckon he is adjusting the throttle free play. Probably has it wound out to raise the revs and remove all slack in the throttle, stops any sudden cuts or jumps in power.

its called having a neutral throttle, not closed or open, keeps constant revs and speed, used all the time on a track in mid corner, otherwise like you said the jerking would spin you off lent over. I suspect the idle is also turned up though to make it easier to keep a neutral throttle at low speeds.

hanging off wouldnt be appropriate, as it would take too much time to shift from side to side on that tight course.
He isnt actually leant over very far, so doesnt need to shift his weight around as hes capable of getting the lean he wants without doing so. Note the stock pegs, guys on a race track have much higher pegs because of the higher lean angle.

Still might impressive though, but a completely different skill to riding a bike fast at high speed.
