True, but with an added 10 KG of metal that could be flying around your neck or something, I wouldn't.
Heck sliding on it would hurt a lot as well and the metal could make you bump up and down since it is so thick. ____________________ Hit the G spot. |

Just leave the thing around your wheel. Sure its a little bumpy until you get used to it but it saves on removal, storage and re locking. ____________________ illuminateTHEmind wrote: I am just more evolved than most of you guys... this allows me to pick of things quickly which would have normally taken the common man years to master

Mine was arranged in a sort of draped diamond, under a cargo net, balanced on the panniers and secured to the grab rail, but I've now pimped up and got myself a Motrax tail pack, sold as a helmet bag.
Bungied down, it feels secure, and big enough for a helmet = big enough for a chain, plus room to spare for milk or beer or what-not. It folds down nice and flat with some velcro straps to keep it in place, so I'm calling that a win for £15 delivered. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

very glad i found this thread.. Thought i was going to have to downgrade my chain to a lighter one and wrap it around the grab rails.. But putting it in it's kreiga bag and cargo netting it onto the pillion seat is a much better idea
think i got the bag free when my dad bought the almax.. For mentioning i'm a member on here No idea why..maybe the salesman was feeling nice lol, Dont quote me though.. ____________________ '02 GS 500. |

Cheers for the suggestions folks.
I tried a little harder to get the chain under my seat and it just about fit, much of it is in the seat fairing by the R/R and it was a PITA to do so I might get sick of doing it and try something else at a later date but for now it'll do just fine .
Thanks again. |

The bag was free with orders anyway.
Not sure if the Almax guy went to California or not, but I spoke to them both quite some time. Husband and wife are lovely, and I am sure they canmake millions if they went to the US and went super big.
Apparently Ride magazine were complete knobs to them and thus they were taken out. Almax weren't happy with the new testing challenging them to bow crop the chain, while the new tests were with a machine or something? Even so, Ride get a lot of stuff from bigger companies and he thinks that there is bias.
The woman was funny though, she allowed me to think in my early biking days that maybe 3 M was enough to go around a whole bike and a lamppost!
Well she didn't say it could, but told me to try it. ____________________ Hit the G spot. |
