Well I need a new phone as my one is slowly dying and it's been slow forever. My current phone is a blackberry wannabe INQ thingy from 3...
Looks nice but that's about it.
And I've wanted a touch phone for ages...

It really is down to personal preference.
Iphones probably are simpler than Android devices, so make your choice. If you like to fiddle, Android would be better. ____________________ Hemorrdroids.net for UK Android News and Reviews |

My opinion from another thread here - https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=215102
| schooleydoo wrote: | | AndyCr15 wrote: | I would disagree. Most companies know now Android is the bigger market, that they need to make an Android version of their app.
There are even some apps available on Android and not on iOS.
Yes, iOS has more and there is a greater chance you'll find what you need on your iPhone than Android, but the gap is getting smaller and smaller. |
I am not an Apple fan. For 5 years I have been using WM on HTC phones and with XDA, flashed everything under the sun, free to create a phone that was completely customised to my style.
Apple is the complete opposite, everything is locked down and they want to know your every move. However, My HD2 died last June and it coincided with the iPhone4 launch. I was given an offer I could not refuse, worst case it would have gone on eBay. It didn't and it was the best decision I have ever made, due to the App Store. Like Sega learnt the hard way that software can make or break a device.
WM Marketplace, Ovi, Android Market, none of them come anywhere close to the App Store, simply because none of them can control the hardware the apps are running on like Apple.
Android Market on my Vega is a nightmare. Apps are unregulated, outdated, disorganised and worst of all, all designed for different devices! I find I have the wrong resolution, or the wrong processor, or it just doesn't work because it hasn't been tested by Google. I hate it and don't go anywhere near it if I have to. I download the APK's manually from somewhere that has verified the file and more importantly, the device it works on.
It has a LONG way to go before competing with the App Store and IMO, by the time it has, no one will care... and that is the opinion of an Apple hater |

As I said in the other thread. I love the Android market and have never had problems with apps not working. I can understand they might not on the Vega, after all, that's not actually supposed to have the Android Market on it.
You do also have the opportunity to just get a refund if an app shouldn't work. ____________________ Hemorrdroids.net for UK Android News and Reviews |

The HTC is selling it more for me now as I don't have to pay an upfront price.
Gonna go to my local 3 store and see what they can do for me as I've been with them for over 3 years now.
Paying £20 a month for unlimited internet, 6000 texts and 1000/2000 ( I forget which) minutes. Which I'm awesomely happy about. ____________________ '99 Hornet 600 , VFR 400 NC30 '92 , Kasawamasaki GT 550 , '98 Hornet 600
