You need to do the 3x3 mod and remove the PAIR valve if they havent been. Not 100% sure but it looks as though the PAIR valve hasnt.

These mods make it much more responsive in gear (ie easier to wheelie!)

Like I'd let it sleep outside Very Happy I keep it in the house just like I did with my DTR. Blocks the front door off but my bike is more important than a front door Thumbs Up If I do use it for college I've got a load of locks as well, never had any issues with the old bike so I'm not worried.

Just a bit Thinking Laughing

Cheers Thumbs Up I've seen much nicer DRZ's imo though, but some people go a bit far colour coding everything and stuff. Also the Arrow 'zaust is a absolute cannon of an exhaust but it sounds nice so I haven't bothered to change it Thumbs Up

honestly, it's only now its gone that i realise what a GREAT bike the DRZ was, honestly i used it to get to work everyday (25 miles each way) absolute monster with 3x3 mod JD jet kit and MRD pipe with reliability to boot. they're built like fuckin tanks. honestly with the imact of that crash, any modern sportsbike would have broke into pieces.

What do you think of the arrow exhaust, i want to replace the stock on the 990SM but don't want to pay the 1.2k for them.

Well mine sounds lovely, no baffle or anything so not sure how they are from new. Pops and burbles like you'd expect, but it's a thumper after all Thumbs Up £1,200 though? Shocked Shocked Bit pricey in my eyes.

Hmm I think yellow is best Very Happy It's the colour I wanted originally but every single one for sale was ragged to bits.

I notice the front mudguard is quite different on the later SM models... mine is much smaller but completely useless in the rain/mud Thumbs Down

Enjoy the bike and get on the DRZ400UK forum Very Happy
