But this is how Apple do it. Release a product with many things missing, people buy it any way, then they release the version as it should have been in the first place and people buy it again!

They could release a pile of turd and as long as it had an Apple logo on it everyone would pay stupid amounts of money for it.

I have to say though the smart cover thing they are releasing for it gets top marks for innovation, its brilliant.

Im thinking of getting the Dell Inspiron Duo Tablet PC.

It folds down quite small, and rather funkily, and I have windows 7 on my finger tips, rather than a shitty OS that can't really do much with and get bored of after a week.

Granted it doesn't have 3g or a camera, I don't know about you, but I don't know many people that actually take their Ipads out with them....

Not only that but the Laptop is probably cheaper too, with more functionality.

According to my facebook, 6 of my friends have already bought one. That was before the spec was even released. No doubt once they actually get them they will be showing me all the features to explain why they just HAD to buy one.... before they knew about those features...

If you want an Ipad now is a great time to buy one second hand. If you want an ipad 2, you need shooting in the face as it's not much of an upgrade and you now know for a FACT that this time next year the ipad 3 will be out. And you'll just HAVE to buy one for all those amazing new features you know nothing about ....

I'm an Apple Slut anyway, and this'll be easier than carting my brand new (£2300!) MacBook Pro around in a rucksack, or passing it around my mates to look at stuff on the internet, or whatever.

Speaking to someone last night say basically said that apple were awesome because if you buy a PC you get locked into using windows.
Forgetting of course that you can run mac OS & linux on a PC too, but when buying a mac you're locking yourself to apple hardware AND software.

I'll buy a tablet some day, but i think i'll wait for the honeycomb ones to get a bit more universal.
