Anyone bother?
If so, recommend?
Anyone know where I might be able to get a really cheap set?

Mountain warehouse - you can get a set of polyester/cotton base layers for 8 quid. I wear them every day to work - shirt and tie, then the compression layer to make my racing jacket easier to put on and off. Also prevents my shirt from creasing.
In summer, even if you're wearing perforated leathers with plenty of venting, your sweat will cause you to stick to the inner liner, so it's always a good shout. I have 4 sets of compression shirts (of varying brands... I prefer the Nike ones myself because they don't have many seams and are designed to fit snugly... if you're tonk, they make you look buff too!) which i wash every 2-3 days to stop them from smelling.
Underwear is usually leggings, long johns or nike compression shorts depending on the weather. If you're wearing a 1 piece, most of the stickiness is around the thigh area. Once you get past this point, it's a simple case of yanking at the shins to pull to leathers off.
Being a multi-purpose brand whore, I recommend the Nike stuff that you get at Sports Direct. £15-18 for a full length arm top and £15 for the shorts. If you do athletics or go to the gym a lot, then it serves a double purpose so I'd go for that. If not, polyester base layer at Mountain Warehouse will do. They are pretty decent at insulating you, but don't fit as snugly as the Nike/Underarmor stuff (if that's what you're looking for). They're cheaper than EDZ too. ____________________ The Tot 2019 Z1000SX - 2007 R1

I do have a set of just plain cotton thermals knocking about, would they do?
I've just found this:

That what you mean? or this:

Thermals would be fine. You might find they get hot and clammy though as they are designed primarily to keep you warm. Proper motorcycle gear, even the cheap Lidl stuff is designed to allow sweat to be kept away from the body and making them much more comfortable.
Lets just see if the Lidl stuff is up to the job. ____________________ illuminateTHEmind wrote: I am just more evolved than most of you guys... this allows me to pick of things quickly which would have normally taken the common man years to master
