I'd like to think I'm a fairly intelligent chap, but I can't find a definite answer on what time the Qatar race starts, our time. Motogp.com's website has the timings on in local time and GMT for FP and Q, but the raceday timings don't change! I'm assuming that it's a 2200hrs local time start (but some places say 2300 local time), so it's either a 1900hrs or 2000hrs start? Anyone? I'm just confused, I'm away that weekend and don't want to miss it. Will have to find a pub that's showing it...and that does a mean Sunday roast!

Looks like 1900 start for me.

Starts at 2200 local time on the official site, therefore -3 hrs to convert to GMT.

Thank you Sir, I will bow to your superior logic and intellect.

That's what I thought too, just needed some confirmation. Would've got even more confusing if there'd been a time difference in the Canaries too.

I'm watching the replays of qualifying.

I'm getting that pre-race tingle.
Spies is on-it, Cal is already a legend in my book. Stoner...sublime.
Rossi struggling..mid-pack shenanigans?

ah ha, i always seem to miss the motogp. Im going to look up old races, any suggestions which are good ones to watch?

Im wondering tho about the 125 bikes. I cant imagine them possibly having more than say, 30-40hp? but the qualifying times today, at lemans were ~10 seconds slower than the gp bikes. Unless its a different track layout? I haven’t watched it yet, tho...

The 125's are closer to 50-55hp (well at least the top bikes are supposed to be) with little weight.
Track layout will be the same but Le Mans is a pretty tight and twisty track, at one of the faster tracks like Qatar the difference would be greater.

Its a shame the last season of 125GP is ending on a bit of a low, last season was great but then all the title contenders left for Moto2 which has left Terol to runaway with the championship this season.

The change to Moto3 next year must really screw a lot of the up and coming riders up like Vinales and Oliveira as they are making a name for themselves, then the format is going to change which is kind of down to luck if it suits certain riders. Some of the good 125/250 riders have just got lost in the mid pack of Moto2, Di Meglio, Pasini, De Angelis ect.
