How could you possibly know what that job entails exactly?

They want people with a lot of experience is waste management, not a cocky smart-arsed keyboard warrior.

That's the difference between you and me then:

a) I can extrapolate.
b) I can learn on the job.
c) I have intelligence, common-sense and wit.
d) I have self-confidence and little phazes me.

Don't be down on yourself though, not all are born equal.

So you are saying you can adapt to any job?

I could say that, anyone could, and with enough training provided you have common sense and basic intelligence, most jobs could be done by most people.

Doesn't mean they are going to get hired. They are asking for experience in that sector, not someone who is keen and willing. That is how you get a job when you are 16.

Oh and please don't take that last sentence as black and white, obviously keen and willing people will get further when job hunting but when it comes down to it, you have no clue what you are doing in waste management and they want someone with 5 years + experience as a waste yard supervisor. Not "anyone with a bit of common sense."

Oh, somehow you've confused what I said with saying I could get the job if I applied for it. Bless. I never said that at all, now did I. Reading comprehension not your strong-suit poppet? Wink

KAF smells like a toilet. How any of the long term forces or contract staff stay there for any length of time is beyond me. Of all the RCs it is 2nd interms of shittyness only to RCSW (Letherneck/Bastion), not even having a TGI Fridays can make up for the smell of the place. Sick

Edit: That wage will probably be in Euros as well. Sounds like a IB/IIA grade? If you have any techincal ability and don't mind working in shit-holes go look at ISAF or Thales vacancies.

You said.

Which implies that you are far above this sort of work. Then you went on about how you could "learn on the job" and how YOU have self confidence.

I do enjoy the little sarcastic remark on the end of each of your posts though. Very entertaining. Thumbs Up

I totally agree with this statement unless I have to stand next to you when you're defusing your first bomb with the tip of your tongue sticking out and squinting at an instruction book, asking if I remembered to bring your readers.

Well, it was better than the resentful abuse on the end of yours.

It's not defusing bombs tho is it? It's managing a waste yard, making sure the stuff gets sorted into the right skips, and the right stuff gets trucked on to be dumped elsewhere, and the right stuff gets incinerated. That's not exactly rocket science, although the H&S paperwork and gibberese would be a stumbling block for most people. That doesn't mean they couldn't do the job, that just means they cant hold up the right piece of paper or chat the necessary bollocks and buzzwords to impress the HR interviewer.

Hetzer wouldn't get past the interviewer either, he's far too gobby, "Bolshie" as far as management are concerned, which they really don't like. He'd be more likely to lamp him one.

"a leading North American Defense Contracting company "

That wouldn't be KBR perchance?
