Can anyone recommend a good one, from personal long-termish use, either here or in the US? No more than about a fiver per month and actually works.
TIA. ____________________ "There's the horizon! Ride hard, ride fast and cut down all who stand in your way!" |

Used these for a couple of years
https://www.lincwebhosting.co.uk/
Never had any downtime, really good pricing too.
Depends on your space and bandwidth requirements though dude.
What you after? |

Forums for a couple of hundred members and a website to go with it. I know all the "unlimited" disc-space and bandwidth claims are so much BS, but it does need to be able to handle the forums without being like it's in mollasses or always be going offline. ____________________ "There's the horizon! https://www.tsohost.co.uk/ are excellent, in my experience. Very good (and fast) technical support, great uptime / speed and good value for money (hesitate to use the word 'cheap'). |

I used to have a couple, but defunctededed them and kept the webspace.
Had about 170 over the 2, never reached my BW limit either.
Forums took up about 30mb max at start, and at close was about 500mb

I've been having a read-around and it looks like 10Gb space/150Gb BW should be more than enough actually (with the 150Gb being stupidly overkill). Can't find anything negative about TSO either, which is more than can be said for iPage and Bluehost. ____________________ "There's the horizon! Wee, TSO take monthly payments too. I've ordered from them, see how it goes. ____________________ "There's the horizon! Ride hard, ride fast and cut down all who stand in your way!" |
