It's now 2 months since the bike was stolen and I still haven't been sent an offer. Carol Nash say they are waiting for Royal Sun Alliance to make an offer.

I'm starting to get a bit pi**ed off about this. I used my saving to buy the new bike and I'm losing interest by the day.

Hmm not sure on bike thefts, i guess they are waiting for the bike to show up again Rolling Eyes I got paid up in two weeks when my bike got written off in an accident. Interesting point here was that i was insured by the NFU! Not exactly what you would call a specialist bike insurance company Smile
Hope they pay you soon!

Hi

Not sure about theft claims, but it took me 6 months to get the payment through when a guy drove onto a roundabout into the side of me.

Must be a farmer then! They are pretty much renowned for avoiding paying up third party claims.

All the best

Took about 4 weeks for me from the Norwich Union for theft, even though I'd been told by various people they wait at least 6 weeks to make sure it's not recovered.

I'd constantly phone and put the pressure on, make yourself a nuisance. I went from phoning once a week to once a day with my last claim, funny that when they get pissed off with you things start to get done so they can get rid.

Good luck.

4 weeks - they told me I had to wait 3 weeks just to see if the bike turned up - like that was ever going to happen!

Half the problem is I'm dealing with Carol Nash not the insurance company, I think I'll go to the once a day phone call...

That's what I ended up doing on my last claim. It was a third party claim against a driver who was insured with Egg. They were an absolute nightmare.
