Just been abused on Black Ops on Xbox Live!?!?

Apologies for double posting, but I'm looking for some love and support here!

I've only had Black Ops for a couple of weeks, was never very good at CoD4 or MW2, but I'm getting better at Black Ops, getting positive KD ratios as opposed to the piss poor ones I was getting previously.

So my first game, TD on Nuketown 24/7, I gets something like a 9:10 with a few assists, just warming up, this twat messages me, tells me I'm pathetic. He's on something like 63:3. Real smart arse. So I replies calling him a cock. Next game, I get 23:13 (as I said, I'm not great, but I'm better than some) and come 3rd on my team, has a change of heart and sends him another message and says it would be a pretty boring game if we were all as good as him, like a bit of a backhanded compliment, and he comes back with more random abuse, telling me I should get a life?!?! Obviously this game is the only thing in him life and he's never seen a womans bits. Next game I had two decent killstreaks and ended up killing this twat about 6 times and ended up something like 28:16, which is quality for me. Twatboy leaves the lobby. What a shame.

Anyways, this is the first time anyone's thrown any shit my way on Xbox live, I was quite amazed, it was so unnecessary. Obviously this kid's shit hot, I was just wondering if this is like a normal thing?

Any game i get a positive K/D ratio is a good one for me lol. I do seem to be getting better scores at Black ops than any other COD game.

There is always a large amount of bickering going on on Xbox Live, especially when playing games from the CoD series.

Your best bet is just to ignore it and laugh it off as most of the time its just 13 year old kids acting all 'ard.

The worst people are the one's that constantly "rap" on their mic's. I usually end up muting a fair few people when I'm on Black Op's or MW2.

You wanna train yourself up. Here's how I do it:

1) Read an epic dictionary. "fetid goat" is a better insult than "cock".

2) Get creative. "Get back in your bag you chutney ferret" will make them cry more tears than "Yeah well... you're stinky."

3) Patronize the shit out of them! They are all twelve years old, if not physically then mentally. "Aaaaaaaaawwww, bless! He's so supeeerr cuuute!" really gets their panties in a half windsor.

4) Never resort to "No, you shut up!"

5) Make sure they're aware that you don't hate them, but you pity them. You're the first person to acknowledge their existence in days... they practically need you, man.

I haven't got into a flame slinging match on XBL,
Been close and I've told a few whiney or annoying faggs to STFU but don't really see the point, everyone ends up a loser.
In fact unless I'm playing with mates or a particularly good lobby then I'll keep my mic disconnected, as I end up swearing allot anyway,
Particularly with some of the underhanded tactics and BAD timing that is widely evident in MW2 and to a lesser degree Black Ops.
Seriously, I know it gets boring so I don't want to ruin other peoples game's with it.
My brothers roll their eyes when I turn the Xbox on because they know to expect a barrage of foul language and tantrums when things aren't going my way.

I have found though, learn yourself a bit of humility and don't feel the rage so easily and you'll gain a level head,
Your play WILL improve dramatically and then the subsequent success will feed this cycle as you become 1337er and leet3R..

GroundWar- Array, Up in the tower with the L96 variable zoom, 11 kill streak, survived being shot twice and two m203 attempts.
Apache>3 Kills on Chopper Gunner then MAYDAY> 10 kills on Gunship then OUT OF BOUNDS.
GAME OVER.
Was aiming for 43 kills in that match to complete a contract but meh, should have flown my kill streaks better.

That little PA sketch has always made me chuckle since it really is 100% spot on, I ran a little netcafe for a while that did a fair bit of gaming on the side, some of the regular counterstrike players were unbelievable, office workers, drivers etc, people who potentially have a rough day at work and then pop in and unload it all at a game of CS, it was hilarious to watch at times
