What is there to look for with size for a leather jacket. Just tried one on it sits above my belly button and is really tight. The arms strugggle to come off, I mean really struggle. Though I'm not sure if it is right and just needs time to loosen up. Need advice or I'll have to send it back, just don't want to waste time and get a larger size thats too big.

You need to be able to move your arms and shoulders freely.

Listen to me, I can talk: my jackets 20 years old and doesnt EVEN do up at the front, I've got so porky, but the shoulders and arms still move freely but as its one of those traditional style solid black ones, its hardly stretched much at all over the years.

You need space under your armpits. If you struggle to get your arms out, its TOO SMALL.

Well theres a fair bit of room under arms and I can move about, just seems generally too small. Man it sux being over 6 foot but slim, no clothes will ever fit me... ever! I'll send it back and get a bigger size, thanks guys.

Go and try some on, find what you want, then order it off the web cheaper than the shops.

Don't buy mail order. You need leathers which fit you and the best way to ensure that is to go to a shop and try them on and then make your mind up. You can mail order once you know what leathers and size you need, but don't until you do. Try lots on and then you'll be able to decide what fits best.
