Is this a 'spot the deliberate mistake' thread?

Don't judge a book by it's cover.

Although, to be fair, the couple of BMW's I have ridden rode worse than they looked. I wanted to like them, but I just didn't.

I will admit I like the S1000RR and the lower CC bikes would be good for offroading.

Telling your friend his bike is ugly though isn't very nice.

Unless they ride a H*rley... In which case it's a perfectly acceptable course of action.

That wouldn't be an issue because if they rode a harley then they wouldn't be a friend. Wink

It could be worse - he could have turned up on some ghastly pile of stroker shite and wibbled on about "getting back to basics" and "pure biking" or some such guff. Be thankful. Thumbs Up

Small thing but;

https://www.bmw-motorrad.co.uk/motorcycles/tour/bmw-r-1200-rt/

That is an R series, and as such has a twin boxer engine.
The K series have the new inline four engines (e.g. K1300S, K1300R & K1300GT)

Not fugly by BM standards. No doubt fantastic if you basically want a two wheeled car for eating up vast mileage in total comfort. But a bit shit if you want a bike Laughing

It's claims to be "only" 259kg wet, which is 9kg more than a half faired Bandit 650 SA.

Reckon it looks a bit like a scooter for the Hulk though. Perhaps that's deliberate.

Most of my blokes over the years have been fugly, that doesn't mean they've not been good rides.

The upside of a bike is that you can't see it while you're riding it Mr. Green

We recently had one at work and it was pretty easy to maul around actually. Far easier than the Kwak GTR14, now that thing is a monster!

I got given one of those a while ago, it has now been reduced to various piles of it's components, it is now 100% aesthetically more pleasing than it was when it resembled a barge!

Sold the cylinder head to my boss for his latest "Mini" project.
If anyone needs any bits, that I didn't bin, let me know.

Even so, I'm still trying to get my head around the idea of a 250+ kg bike, you know? That's fucking immense. I thought the old Bandit 600 I had was a lump, and that was only about 220kg.

I've got 4 good mates who ride H*rleys as it happens... It's a running joke between me and them these days, they know I hate them so we take the piss constantly. It's a good giggle actually!

Apart from the time I pissed on one of them and claimed I thought it was a public toilet, he wasn't too pleased that time... But I was very very drunk!
