I've just bought one of these for my Bros in the hope it would make motorway journeys a bit less tiring. Unfortunately it just seems to be making things noisier unless I put my head directly behind it (on the tank).

I don't know if I'm angling it wrong or something...

Sorry in advance for the terrible photos:

Probably you'll end up taking it off.
It sounds daft but a smaller one might be better.
I got a taller screen for an XJ900 and hated it for similar reasons.

Can't really afford to be wasting £40. Might try and cut it down or something Razz

Has it got those two little adjusting nuts that stop it from being pushed back? You need to experiment with angles and find one right for you Very Happy same happened with my Givi screen (pretty much the same as that)

You want the wind hitting your visor (to take water away), if it hits just below your chin it'll become noise. Best way i found (sounds stupid) while your riding, put your hand below the screen and move it up until you feel the wind, then follow it back and you should feel a cone or relatively still air and see where its hitting your helmet.. if that makes any sense Laughing

If not try finding where it seems quietest, so stand up/crouch down to see where its quiet and adjust the screen accordingly (If its quiet standing up, screen needs to be lower, visa-versa for opposite)

Hth Very Happy is pretty difficult to explain Basically, experiment Wink

I think I get the general idea. So you think it needs to be more vertical or less? Trouble is that the clocks stop it from being any less vertical than it already is so I couldn't experiment with that. All that's holding it in that position is a bit of foam to stop it hitting the clocks and the headlight mounting bolts. I'll have a play with it when I'm going for an epic 200 mile rideout with a friend.
