Well, I've tried it and I certainly don't like it because I've found a really good bug in it after trying to scoll a map in a game called Kingdoms of Camelot found via Facebook it doesn't move....at all. so, downgraded back to v8 which does work!

What the heck has microsoft done and they appear to be trying to emulate the opponents browsers except you no longer have a drop down list click-on option view what sites you've visited on the back & forward buttons, but instead you have to right-click your mouse button to reveal it instead which is weird!

What bugs have you encountered with the new browser?

There's nothing wrong with trying different browsers.

FF4 is shite.
IE9 is shite.
Chrome is OK.
Back to FF3 it is then until they force FF4 on me. Then I'll probably defect to chrome or look elsewhere.

I've found 3.6.3 to be the best.

I find FF4 to be better than 3.x and it's still in beta, what don't you like about it? Just curious? My only issue is the 'plugin-container' mechanism is buggy, but I hope that's fixed by official release...

I use Firefox 3.6.15 but it's slowly irritating me - speed seems to have dropped over time. I also use Chrome from time to time, which is fast, but a little too "lite".

I'll probably end up downloading IE9 on my work laptop (because none of intranet sites work properly on other browsers! Rolling Eyes )

firefox has really gone downhill for me. i prefer IE to firefox but i do avoid both like the plague. never use either. carry my own portable apps with me on a memory stick attached to my keys.
my most used browser is opera. for me it sits right in the middle between speed, stability, features especially now that it supports extension like lastpass etc

chrome and safari are probably the fastest browsers though. safari on a mac is even better. prefer safari on a mac than opera and chrome. only thing that annoys me is lack of search straight from address bar for safari

This for me, too. I'm on Safari now, even on this work PC.

I used to be a big Firefox fan, but it's turned into what it was created to avoid - a huge, bloated, buggy resource hog.

The latest versions of FF seem to consume a disproportionate amount of resources mainly through plugin-container.exe. Almost bloatware.

Got rid of FF ages ago, so bloated.

Use Chrome, though the shockwave flash crashing bug is annoying the tits off me right now.

Most people don't care about browsers. They care even less about resources and minute differences in speed.

Does it let you look at websites? Yes. Mission completed.

To a degree I agree with you but there are problems with the latest incarnations of FF.

If you a open Facebook tab for example and use a facebook app you can see an increase in CPU use of anything up to 500% on the plugin-container.exe. On older systems this can cause a lock up.

Firefox's performance also degrades over time. My PC is on for anywhere up to 14 hours a day with ten tabs open. Half way through the day it can become so slow it's almost unusable and a quick look in task manager shows it's hogging a huge amount of resource. The solution is to close the browser and re-open it, but it's a pain.

Most people aren't techies.

Just most people on the 'net like to think/front like they are...

My other half definitely isn't a techie and she installs Chrome on every device she gets her mitts on.

I'm really only kidding. Loads of people care about their browsers. I know one non-techie who bangs on about Opera at every opportunity. Go figure. *shrug* Very Happy

It just seems like such a pointless thing to care about these days. Much like the mobile phone thing, they all do the job, certain ones appeal to certain people, but do we need all "this is awesome and the rest are shit" guff that goes along with it? None of them are actually 'shit', they all work.

Y'know how you'll go on YouTube to watch a clip of an amusingly-close crosswind landing and then in the comments it's degenerated into an argument about why Boeings are 'shit' and Airbus are awesome... everything seems to be about having an allegiance even when it's completely irrelevant and futile.
