Hmm not sure. Looks just like MW2 crossed with Battlefield, which I can't see the point of really Laughing

I liked the sound of it until I saw it was just another American orgy.

Was hoping for a WW2 based home guard protecting the southern English coast.

Maybe i'm just hoping.

Yeah I got it... first impressions are is that it's just average.. It's no where near as good as Bad Company 2 (or even Black ops)

It's not a bad game, but theres nothing there to make it stand out.

If you only intend to play the campaign then yes. You can complete it in an evening with ease - complete fucking cop out as far as single player goes.

However the multiplayer is strangely addictive Thumbs Up

Which is very poor indeed considering games are still sold as single player with multiplayer as a free add on.

Sick of it.

The only game i'm still playing single-player on for an extensive period is FIFA 11.

Yes multiplayer is fun and addictive, but you can't beat a decent plot, storyline singleplayer.

Well completed it on the 1st night, story did not delivery, some nice set pieces but I didnt care much for anyone in the game.

multiplayer is where its at (again) been enjoying that, some server side issue at the moment and its a rank unlock system but it is good and a nice change to COD it feels a bit more adult.

The spawning can be annoying, in COD you feel like you have died and can compose yourself, in homefront you don't get a killcam or sometimes if its a headshot no warning until you are back at the kit selection screen. this makes you feel a bit disjointed from the game.

The points system is good although I think it could have been done better, you start with 500 points to buy upgrades in game or spawn a vehicle.
The kak thing about this is if you want a tank you need about 1800 points and once you get them you need to die before you can spawn a vehicle?!?
This means by the time you get enough for a gunship (apache @ 2800 points) the map can be over, they dont carry over either.

They could have set a limit on points that carry over if you stay in game so you would have up to xxx amount to use next time.

It is more stable than COD was when it forst came out and so far there dont seem to be any game breaking glitches like the Javelin thing in MW2.

One thing they need to fix is the xbox party side of things, if you and your party go into a match then you would like to think that teamwork can be employed. The issue with this is that there are no markers to differentiate between your party and anyone else in your team, this makes it hard to meet up with your party members. You can describe where you are but its something COD does well.

A good game so far, single player feels like it has nothing to do with the way online is panning out. I have not tried the other game modes yet which seem to be commander based.

Pick it up and try it, but be aware this uses a 1 time use code for online which is where games seem to be heading. You can buy another for 800 points so bare that in mind when picking this up second hand.

Cheers
