Premix 2T oil

Can someone please recommend to me a good 2t Premix oil?
I wont be running silly ratios like 50:1, I usually run 35:1 or 25:1 It's not a high state of tune engine either... It's only an old 80's moped. But I want the best I can get for it really...

I use Castrol TTS in my Gas Gas but at 50:1.

25:1 sounds quite oily.

Adding too much 2 stroke can be a bad idea as it can make the engine run too lean.

Find out what the correct mixture is and use that.

I use mobil1 2 stroke stuff. worked fine!

I rode an RS125 and thrashed the balls off of it, it hit a ton every day and never had an issue, also had insane amounts of compression.

Yours is some gash moped.. it will be fine.

I use 40:1 on my camino with decent premix oil thats with running a ported cylinder and stock crank.

Most scooter big bore kits recommend 33-1 when running premix so do most 2t motocross bikes etc.

I use Putoline MX5 in my 2 strokes. It retails at around £11 per litre so is well within your budget.
Out of interest, why do you choose to randomly guess at what the mixture ought to be rather than following the manufacturer's recommendations? Do you feel that you know more about their engines than they do?

50:1 is usually fine for the road on anything vaguely road oriented.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Manufacturers usually make recommendations based upon specific standards. If you feel that you know better than them, or any of us, then just run it on pure oil or whatever mix that you deign suitable.

Put anything in it.

It was designed to run on mineral oils, so itll run on that.

Nope, it's premix as standard... I understand that I can run lean with the extra oil, so I'll alter fuelling to compensate when I sort my carb out, also run a hotter plug to keep fouling to minimu (Well as high as I can without certain adverse side effects )

I guess it's more of a personal security thing than a performance thing

I also understand that the more oil I use, the less cooling effect the incoming petroil mixture has on the engine.

Is there anything else I should be aware of?
