so after having my battery charging yesterday i put it in today and tried the electric start and with great relief it started Very Happy

Anyhow, decided to go for a little ride and it was fine, stalled after pulling up at some traffic lights after some chavvy twat was giving it some blahblahblah..
Started away fine but then i came to an island and stalled again..

Turned the bike off and on, went to start and ffs the ignition lights went off..

Much panicking and wondering how the hell i was going to push the bike 15 miles home a guy on an r6 stopped and then rode to a battery store for me to ask about getting it checked... (cheers if it is anyone on here)

Got it taken there in the end once i'd got a screwdriver..battery fine.. Secured it back in place..started fine..

Absolutely no bloody clue.. Rode home and now the neutral light won't switch on..

So confused as to what happened.. Might not have secured the battery properly this morning..but no idea about the neutral light..

Anyway that's my boring story.. Quite scary when it's only the second day out on the bike.. Anyone able to shed any idea? Cheers.

Reg/rec gone, and not charging the battery?

Check your wiring too, check to see if anything's melting Laughing

It's probably something stupid like a blown fuse though.

unscrewed the battery had it checked and it was fine.. Screwed battered back in and it started straight up.. So it could have been my being a plonker and not tightening the battery properly?

The neutral light won't come back on now though -.-

It may have blown the bulb, what bike is it. Check your fuses too.

Easy to replace the bulb, if you take the cover off the back of the clocks it should just be a wee rubber bit holding the bulb in, just pull it out and change bulb, sorted Thumbs Up

Is the oil pressure warning light, and indicator lights working?

okay sounds easy enough so i'll give it a shot, will i be able to tell that the bulb is blown looking at it?

Yep everything else is fine as far as i know, indicated into my drive and then the neautral light wouldn't come on, electric start was fine and oil light came on this morning Thumbs Up

didn't want to ride to college today just incase there was something up, but it's more than likely it was me just being abit of a pleb and not screwing the battery in enough.. Going to have a little ride tonight around the local estate to make sure.. And not too far to push it back if there is something wrong..

Cheers Thumbs Up

Should be simple to see if the bulb's blown, the little filament will be snapped somewhere. should cost you about a quid for a new bulb Laughing

I doubt there's anything wrong with the bike overall.

It's just a normal bulb, it's green because of the plastic cover on the clocks Thumbs Up

Just take the bulb out, go to any bike shop or halfrauds, and ask for a replacement. they'll probably bin the old one for you.

ahh right, fair enough, i thought i'd read earlier on another forum that it was best to get the same colour as the display so it let the light out more efficiently or something..

Will do Thumbs Up probably won't get a chance to go today so i'll go after college tomorrow and hopefully be sorted Razz
