Tie a neck height wire across the ski slope, due to lots of complicated forces of physics that you shouldn't worry yourself about you'll pivot around the wire and launch into a wonderful backwards flip jump.

That'll be at the Local Snowboarding Slope for Local People in the village that you keep telling us you're stuck in because you got banned for riding a Hayabusa at 300mph through a procession of nuns? So now you've got nothing to do but crash your mate's SV650s, cut casts off your arm with chainsaws, and arse-slam gaggles of gagging-for-it lesbians? That's the latest story, right? Sleeping

weight forward so you can steer the board,
if you lean back you only have the very back of the board having any purchase on the "snow"

as for the jump it self, as you come up to the jumpbend your knees, and when you hit the knuckle "pop" them straight,

in the air you need to remain stable, your weight needs to be forward,
i found when i was learning that a nose grab or reaching for your front boot, did the job of both,

landing, try and land with the whole board flat on the snow not just the back, you'll have no control if you just land on the tail,
bend knees slightly and take up the impact with your knees.

the key with any snow sport is keeping your weight forward,
i see far too many people in "the back seat" when you are there you have no control, if you have no control you are a danger to every one,

you will never go over the front, so keep leaning forward

My advice:

First learn to ollie on flat ground. Basically as your riding, throw most of your weight into the tail, and once it get's to the maximum amount of bend, then pop up off your back foot.

Next

Go hit a jump and go through in your head where you think you should ollie to try to get an idea of timing

Next

Ollie off a jump and you will get boosted nice and high and far.

From there id learn to pull your legs right up into your chest. This makes it easier to pull of some grabs and such.

Snowboarding is awesome. Currently on my 5th season out in Canada.
