I'm sat on the B6128 just outside ossett in west Yorkshire and need help. Was coming up the road on something went bang then lost all power. No can't get the CG started and the AA said it will be at least an hour.

Any ideas what it could be or how to get going again? Tried bumping it off but had no joy.

HELP!

Sounds quite serious, I'd wait for the AA you might do more damage

Check the oil level, what happens when you try and start it?

At first it would cut out as soon as you touched the throttle. Now it's completely dead

Take the spark plug out and put it back into the plug lead, hold it next to the engine and crank it to check the spark plug is working.

Whilst the plug is out put your thumb over the spark plug hole and crank it again, compression should push your thumb off the hole, if it doesnt then you havent got enough compression to run.

Cheers
John

stinkwheel Well I just had my hands up a pigs fanny. Which makes your concerns pale into insignificance.
