Can anyone help an electrical muppet ????

I have trying to fit a Motrax Cyclops LED rear light unit to a Honda hornet. The Motrax unit has a red, yellow and black wire, and the bike has a 2 lots of brown, green and green and yellow going to both the stop bulb and the running bulb.

I can get the running light on, but I cannot seem to get the brake light to work....anyone help ???

Cheers - Mick

Green/yellow is the wire for the brake fillament. Green is the earth, and brown is the lighting fillament.

I would assume the black wire on the cyclops is negative (Green on the Hornet) and you'll probably have to use trial and error on the red/yellow wires.

Okey Dokey !!!! all done Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Told you I was an electrical muppet Embarassed my mistake was this, there are two bulbs on the stock lighting unit of the Hornet both having a Brown, Green and Green/yellow stripe going too them...I was (wrongly) assuming one was the running light and the other was the brake light and was trying to connect wires from both to the Cyclops unit (Doh !!!) - on closer inspection (and thanks to this thread for getting the old grey matter working) I realised both bulbs were twin filament and both acting as running and brake light.......so for other idiots out there wanting to wire in a Cyclops to a hornet heres how to do it....

1) disconnect the old unit
2) isolate and insulate one set of the brown, green and green / yellow stripe
3) connect the remaining set of brown, green and Green/yellow stripe as so

Brown - Cyclops Black
Green / Yellow stripe - Cyclops Red
Green - Cyclops Yellow

...and Hey Presto !!!! Thanks for all replies

Mick Thumbs Up
