Ok so here we go! this is my first time in the show and tell section mainly because i have not had much to show or tell!

I acquired a suzuki gsxr as per the title to use as a track bike but also keep it on the road as a spare (cant have too many bikes Laughing) Anyhoo this gixxer was running really rough so after some o ring replacement and general carb fettling i actually managed to get it running sweetly, next issue on the list was the front forks.

They had lost all their oil and from the looks of the fork stancions you can see why

Yes they are knackered! so after ringing a few companies who wanted silly money to recondition the forks and much internet surfing i decided on the 2003 kawasaki 636 fork conversion, after bravely relieving myself of £160 on the bay of e i ended up with this

So on with the conversion..

Front end up!

Support with something other than paddock stand and Start to take front wheel off (yes the jack is on the exhaust but there is nowhere else and it needs a new one anyway!)

Brake calipers disconnected

I have also got myself some radial calipers on the way from good old ebay as well for 40 sheets you cant go wrong!

First fork leg in, the internet didnt lie, they DO bolt straight in!

The kwak forks are slightly longer so ive got some poking out of the top yoke, started with 20mm and will adjust later if nessecary!

Stuck the other fork leg in and got it back on the paddock stand ASAP Laughing its all looking good and this is where ill leave it for now as i now have to toodle off to the engineering shop to get adaptors and spacers made up for the wheel spindle, calipers and discs
