SO the GN250 only sold for 175... But that's ebay for ya, you win some and you lose some.
I've been eying up an old moped in the local paper...

It's an old Honda PC50, 1972 with full MOT and is eligible for tax exemption due to age.
It's in damn good condition for a 39 year old unrestored moped and runs like a watch...
First of all, the bloke was after 300 quid, No takers... asked me if I could do 275... Told him I was trying to scrape money together, and he immediately lowered it to 250 and has agreed to sell it to me as I'm so enthusiastic haha.
I am so close to getting it that it is unreal, just witing for a lad to pick up my gym equipment and the bloke buying my bike, and I'll have enough cash Smile

A few bits I wanna babble about the bike...

First of all, it's four stroke, Top speed of 35 (Pushing it)
Average of around 150 mpg...
Capable of over 200 odd mpg.
3 litre tank.
And if you run out, You can always pedal it

So looks like I'll be riding it next week at this rate =P

It's one of these, and in this colour (grey-boring). What do ya think? ;D

There is the old addage that third class riding beats first class walking......
But SOMETIMES, you do get the odd ride that makes you question the wisdom!
This may be one of them.
Though whether this is more of less embarrassing to admit to riding than the GN250 'lemon', I'm not sure.......

On second thoughts..... I think its a step up the ladder......

I have just recalled the sight of my Uncle, grizzled, fat bald biker,, riding his beloved Moto Guzzi.........

'Trotter' 35cc moped..........

........... to the Bull Dog bash!

Pre '72, it does have SOME 'Class' I suppose..... unlike the GN.....

A mate had a blue one in the 80s. It was the slowest thing I've ever ridden, though that may be down to the motor being worn or badly maintained or whatever. I do remember that it would do about 50 miles to 1 litre of fuel. So that's, what, 200+mpg. If they did about 45mph it would be seriously worth considering as viable transport.
