Just recently near my house.A child got up on a parked up bike and fell off.As the child fell of his trouser caught up on the bars pulling bike on top of him.he got a bruised leg and cuts and bruises.

The bike was parked up in a bay on flat ground fully legal and everything else.It was on a centre stand .Now the woman who was with the child is trying to sue the bikes owner for damages to child.
I think she has no fucking chance and should of looked after the little shit a bit better.Oh she is also claiming benefits and comes from a local scum family. What's you r thoughts on this?..............
all the best

It is a joke but that is the sort of society we live in.

This is why people like Hetzer exist.

This!

I would turn round and tell her to f off tbh!

Was the owner of the bike watching/helping? or did the kid just walk up and get onto the bike?

They should send her an inflated bill for the damage to the bike.

The fault lies with the parent, since the child doesn't yet have the capacity to take responsibility for their own actions.

I hope the judge treats it with the contempt it deserves and fines her for wasting the court's time.

If the bike was all legal and parked safely then the owner has nothing at all to worry about.

Sign of the bloody times though, the flippin Jeremy Kyle types were they?

Winds me up...A few years ago my neighbour got broke into, the crook just kicked in a wooden panel in the back door. As it happened we had the exact same door so I obviously thought the same could happen to us. I contemplated making a frame with sharp spikes and screwing it to the back of the door panel... crook kicks through and gets impaled on said spikes!!! sweet. Only prob, a friend let me know that the law doesn't alow you to knowingly hurt a would be crook by setting a booby trap.

My thought is, if you do something stupid or criminal and get hurt then thats a good lesson not to do it again.

Provided the owner of the bike wasn't present, i.e hadn't given his consent, I'd be banging in a smal claims case against the parent to recover the cost of the damage to the bike!

Whatever happened to respecting other peoples property?

What losses is she actually going to claim for? I suspect that even if she does contact the ambulance chasers they will tell her she doesn't have a leg to stand on.

It's much the same as if the little git had been jumping up and down on a car roof then fell off.

She obviously stands no chance, even in this mad world. Would make an absolute mockery of the legal system if she won.

The chance of recovering anything from such feckless scum is zero.

That woman's bloody loopy, as previously stated it is a dire commentary on the state of the nation today.

When something goes wrong, it's automatic to not accept responsibility for your actions and to blame others however if it is genuinely your fault you have to take the blame for it.

Also as previously stated if the woman won the legal case it'd further prove that the legal system is a fvcking farce.

It's akin to punching someone in the face and then blaming that person for damage to your hand. Rolling Eyes.

I hope she gets to court, just so the Judge can bend her over for being a stupid bitch, making her pay for all the damages to the motorcycle, a fee for being so dumb and actually teaches her the concept of fault because she obviously has no clue.

Stupid bint.

To be fair, I think it's the mother that needs to be aborted. Thumbs Up

I would go absolutely mental at any parent letting their kid sit on my bike.

i have both a bike and a child. I can confirm that if someone stood by and allowed their child to climb on my bike (my other child Laughing ) i would batter the parent with the nearest big object.

If a child jumped on a car and damaged it the owner would justifiably get shitty, a bike is no different. Through shit 'can't be arsed' parenting someone's property has been damaged.

This is aside from the safety issue. My tiny person is only 4 and already knows not to touch someone's bike because it's not his. . . .but he also knows bikes are heavy, potential child-squashers that are often hot.

In their shoes i'd be claiming for the damage to the bike AND if the parent gets shitty, pointing out that allowing your child to be badly burned/squashed to death is something social services should be aware of. Clearly they are not fit to look after a pot-plant, let alone a child. Thumbs Up

I agree with the rest of the posts. Mother should teach the scroat to respect other peoples property and leave the bike alone. I've had to go out and tell the little scroat next door to get the fk off my bike once.
