How much is the normal cost for insurance for 16 years old riders?
Do you pay everything at once or pay as you go? monthly, weekly?
recommendations?

Im 16 may 5th do i get the insurance after my 16th or before I start riding?
what does normal insurance cover?

I know its depending on how old the bike is, Gilera dna 01/02 i think..

expect to get raped for the first year on price

you will need to pay in monthly installments unless you have a load of wedge sat at home

get insurance sorted so it runs from the birthday at 00.01 as i dont think they will insure until your 16 anyway

dna will be expencive as they are classed as higly nickable

Go compare. Enter your birthday as 16 years from the day you do it. So of it was today it would be 28/3/95. Also, enter false phone number (and maybe email address) as you will get a shit load of calls (few emails just after you made your quote and an email in 12 months time for renewal).

Mine is 350 for third party fire and theft and was 450 for fully comp...

Check the small print on the installements.
If they are selling you a years policy in one go, with a 'credit agreement', then you have to be 18 years old to enter into it.....
If they are selling you MONTHLY insurance thats another matter.
You may have to get your mum or dad, or some one to 'under write' an installment policy for you, or take one of these buy monthly schemes, which can be twice the price!

I don't think you can pay monthly until you're 18 as it is considered a credit agreement.

Correct. So borrow the money and pay back the owed monthly. It's better too as you don't have to pay interest.

Do you work at a pub or anything? By saying you work at a pub really increases the insurance costs.

I guess your getting slightly higher quotes than others.

But actually when put into context the bus will cost much more than that, and that price isn't too bad for your first year - and hey it's better than walking and the buses!
