Hi, I bought a new rear tyre for my DT 125. i ordered off of ebay cause im a tight arse and its the same tyre make as i allready have on the bike and i have had no problems with cornering/braking etc...
heres the link:

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110653308402&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

When the seller said 350x18 4.10 metric equiv...i assumed this means they are exactly the same size, So the tyre arives this morning and its clearly smaller than my origional, i take it to my local bike shop and ask for his advice and he said it will fit but is in no way the same....i go home, i ring the seller up, and he trys telling me it is exactly the same as a 4.10 and i can return the tyre for a refund but if he sends a 4.10 it will be exactly the same tyre.

Help please?! Sad

Hi

What size tyre have they sent? Think a 4.10 is a 110/90 equivalent.

All the best

Keith

Hi Keith,

The origional was a 4.10x18 and that have sent a 3.50x18...

So i assume its just 60mm smaller? which is a big difference...

Hi

That isn't an equivalent at all. 4.10 is referring to the size in inches, same for 3.50. So the difference is 0.6 inches, about 15mm.

All the best

Keith

It's in inches not MM, it's 0.6in smaller. 3.5 does not equal 4.1
