What idiot had an idea to reduce the speed limit on the elevated section to 30 mph................good for at least 80 that bit! Laughing

That was mentioned on Top Gear as well. Apparently its because they are doing some works underneath, but I have a feeling the limit is going to stay. I do the A40 everyday to and from work, its reeeeally annoying now. I still go at 40/50 though, but when everyone is doing 30/35 I keep with them.

Its amusing. I see all manner of twats undertaking the 30mph adherents on the stretch into Marylebone so they can speed into town yet you always seem to sail past them once you hit the traffic at the end of the westway! I find it difficult sticking to 30 along there (a 3 lane dual carriageway!) but the difference in arrival times seems tiny for a 2 wheeler really. Have seen a few nasty collisions with bikes there over the years.
