Due to the success of last year's 2 day Charity Trackday, We are hosting 2 separate, 2 Day trackdays this year!

It's always good fun, brilliant for trackday novices and seasoned track addicts alike! Well proven circuit, fast straights, sweeping bends and plenty of run-off.

Bit of on board footage, on an awesomely fast 3XV Smile

Presume it's just bikes on this one (not cars too)?

Think I'm busy that weekend.

If not, could be tempted.
Do you run in groups, if so how many?

What charity is it supporting?

Hi G,

Bike only for this now, the car lot do their own day (9th April). Seeing as we are a bike club, it seemed daft for us to organise the car day too.

Three groups, as usual. Fast, Inter, Novice.

Charit(ies) getting supported, we are on course for raising £20k this year, if both trackdays are successful!

Looks like it will be split between; Local charity (helps kids who look after disabled parents), Military charity (probably help for heroes), Overseas charity (green boxes, they send out aid boxes to countries affected by disasters) and I'm hoping to get a decent share to the local Air Ambulance, as they do rescue us two wheeled lot fairly often! Cool

It's well worth coming along, we will be hosting one later on in the year, probably september early.

Deanie, you can bring anything mate. That's the whole fun of it. We usually take a heap or two for fun. Got a gsxr400gk71f this year!

As long as its oil tight, and safe, you'll be fine!

What did you think about bringing?

Well I only have my Honda Deauville and it is not exactly designed for the track but I would like to give it a go.

Is there a minimum speed/capacity/power limit? Laughing

Went to uni up at bangor, may be interesting to see if anyone's still hanging round up there and practice doing proper cornering without fear of being smashed into the front of an oncoming artic... Deffo in the novice category but I have at least some (extremely stale) karting experience and that. Know my apexes, slow-in-fast-outs, flags etc Rolling Eyes

But as I have trouble breaking 70 that could be a bit of a liability on a track!

CG125.. Happy days, first bike I had on the road. Very Happy

Ride it well enough and I doubt you'd be the slowest out there!

Sod that, there's an odds on chance I'll be moving house that weekend, now. Nngh.

2Smoke... well I've got a reasonable handle on how to make best use of the power band now, it's almost flowing properly when I try to push on really hard, and cornering's getting better, so who knows... Certainly faster through mixed traffic than some guys who overtake me on the straight then proceed to get in the bloody way for the next two miles of tight and turny stuff.

'Reasonable', 'almost' and 'better' would worry me for taking a cg on a track personally. A R6; fair enough, probably ideal for a novice group, but on a CG I would worry it would be getting towards 'dangerous'.
Of course it does depend on the track and the people attending. I'd expect the majority of bikes there will have a taller first gear than your fifth gear. It's likely this day will attract relatively less really fast people - ie probably not going to be many practising for the next BSS round for a start.
