Pirate bay went to shit after they lost that court case and had to sell the site.

Download .nzb's from here

https://www.nzbs.org/

or here

https://www.nzbindex.nl/

add them into this

https://sabnzbd.org/

and downloading them using a service provider such as this

https://www.giganews.com/

Max's out my 20meg line @ 2.4MB/s
Maxed out the 50meg line at work too
Has everything i've ever wanted, and you don't upload so your can't be acused of file sharing

I tried to find somewhere to download the donnington WSBK on torrent, failed as i'm kicked off all the private sites due to finding it impossible to maintain a good ratio when the uploaders outnumber the downloaders by 1000:1.
Found both races in DVD quality on nzbs nl.
Costs maybe £5 a month which i don't miss, yet it lets me download at HTTP speeds as 'm not dependant on others upload speeds. My ISP doesn't throttle the shit out of NNTP, and none of the files are ever fake or shit quality.

I'm someone who has never paid for any software, CD's or DVD's so the idea of paying to download wasn't great for me, but i'm very very happy with it. Especially for movies, i can often get DVD rips when the film is still at the cinema, sometimes before Very Happy

lol at torrents in general.

For £3 a month I get 4000kb/s all day every day with 256bit SSL.
No viruses, no passworded files and more importantly, no risk.

You'd have to be pretty fucking stupid to download those sort of torrents (or anything else), tbh.

IF I'm going to PAY for stuff, I'd rather buy CDs etc direct from the artists.

Difference being £5-15 a month for unlimited data, vs £5-15 in one month for whatevers lurking in the HMV bargin bucket, so yeah, 3-5 films which you'll get done with in a day or two.

Torrents are only of use for a few things that I've never been able to find on newsgroups, but even this is becoming rare now since giganews offer almost 1000 days retention, and using 3-4 indexing sites pretty much ensures that what I want is there somewhere.

That on top of all the reasons DaFrosty stated are why newsgroups shall always be FTW.

You won't find any of the CDs I buy in HMV, never mind in their bargain bucket. Laughing

e2a: I can't actually remember the last time I downloaded anything, so it's all rather moot anyway, tbh.
