I was trying to adjust the link pipe on my '98 CBR 600 and when putting it back together I over tighened the clamp that connects the link pipe to the rest of the exhaust. The connection seems solid but the bolt just turns easily now.

Do you think I've just damaged the clamp?

Sounds like you've overtightened it and stripped the threads. Just get a new clamp they're not expensive.

Do you have enough thread on the back to fit an extra nut?

To be honest there isn't a nut on the back, there is about 1" of the bolt that I could put one on though, didn't think of that but I'll give it a try before I buy a new clamp

Cheers guys
