Puncture preventative... any good?

Has anybody used this before (the likes of GOOP and Ultraseal?). Sounds really good and if it works may save a long walk . Also, how easy is it to install? Cheers in advance...

I have used this stuff before with pretty good results.
To install from what I remember you dump the air out of the tyre and then fill with goo through the shrader valve, refill with air and job done. My tyre fitter moans about it as it makes a mess sometimes when replacing tyres.. May indeed save a long walk...

The only thing with this stuff is:

When you get a puncture and it is sealed by the stuff, you won't know you have had a puncture. I can't really see that it would be safe to ride on a tyre that had been automatically repaired, especially not at high speed!

Personally I would avoid it.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Spend your moeny on an emergency mobile phone instead. Its less likely to have your tire fitter want to kill you, and will get you out of non tire related breakdowns aswell.
