Start a week on monday doing IT Support for a new company, working with people i know and have worked with in the past.
£25k a year.

Not sure how many companies are doing the same thing, but I know the company I work for is shunning recruitment consultants as they're too pricey. Basically, our HR dept are cutting out the middleman and trawling Monster, Linked In etc for potential employees themselves. Get a decent CV up on t'internet and the right job may come looking for you.

(not aimed at CaNsA of course, who has just got the right job)
