Yes, I know, bear with me.

So I get back from work, (04.30 to 02.15). I decide to wind down and take the dogs for a walk. (that's a walk, as in ..........on foot)
I'd gone barely a mile, lost in thought and just plodding, the sun warming me.
As I look up, a slightly familiar noise greets me, coming towards me down the narrow lane, a Harley.
So there I am, as he passes me, he...........he.............nods.
As I said, I was taken by surprise somewhat....I swear, it was involuntary......I nodded back.

My questions are, as follows.

a. Will this affect me, in the future, CRB checks, etc?
b. Can I still be in your gang?
c. Do I really have to buy a jacket with tassels now?
d. I'm sure there's a d, I just can't remember it, I need a drink.
c. Back now, I was wrong, there is no d.
e. no e either, sorry.

Yours in anticipation of a swift reply.

Not about nodding but about ghey harleys

We took our mum out for a posh meal for mothers day today. In the middle of Cambridge 4 middle age men pull up on harleys sitting out side the restaurant revving there engines and shouting over the noise to each other. They then proceed to pull up, one almost drops his 10k worth of ghey. All of them wearing harley branded helmets and jackets, and all of the bikes with skull air filters. Couldnt believe the amount of attention these people got, thought that everyone realised how bad it looked apart from them.

I know not particularly interesting but it's the first time I have ever actually seen a group of typical harley "fags" and am a bit shocked that 1. it is actually real and not just made up by south park and 2. the fact that people actually sit around staring at them in awe.

When leaving the restaurant they were still outside drinking coffee, a guy went up to them and started speaking about how he used to have a blackbird but got scarred after doing some stupid speed on it. Another bit of bull that usually get spouted at you when someone thinks they know bikes

I know of 1 Harley rider, theres a curb in Uxbridge that everyone parks their motorbikes on in the middle of town. If everyone goes longways in you can get 6 bikes in there. But every so often you pull up to find this monstrous great big Harley parked side ways across the bays, and due to the bollards he always manages to park it so nobody else can get in.

It could just mean that you are bi-curious.

Nothing implicitly wrong in that, but check for ass-less chaps in your wardrobe, perhaps with a promotional brochure from H-D tucked neatly into them.

98% of all harleys ever made are still on the road!

the other 2% made it home.

Dodgydog,I think you mis-interpreted what happened.

He realised he was riding toward the coolest dude in Cooltown-so natch,he pretended to glance down as he passed, hoping to avoid excruciating embarrasment...but he mis-timed it,turning what could have been his face-saver into a nod.

Your nod back was just to nail his embarrassment home.

Be very proud m'man.

You just out-cooled a chrome-mobile while on foot!

[ps-your question 'C'..tassles are optional-the leather waistcoat is a must]

I wonder if the non-nodders think "why the f**k do people keep nodding at me???" as they ride past bikers. It is possible that back in their day they were of the nodding kind and got turned down by a fellow biker and from that day forward promised themself that they would not experience the disappointment of being shunted by one of their kind ever again. You know the feeling, when you think "ah its a sports bike, got to be a proper bike, he'll nod back" but no, they ignore you. Bike racism? Possibly? I know I don't judge other bikers by their bike but as it is with us humans we like to group things and treat certain groups better than others depending on preference.

P.s. I ignore scooters and touring style bikers with massive windscreens, they are clearly more cager than biker and never nod back anyway.

Clearly? How so, exactly?

Pretty big sweeping statement.
