Best sounding bike I have heard is my mate Nialls BSA A65 with a 980 bigbore (from 650 standard), a shortstroke crank, twin mikuni carbs with pancake filters and custom made peashooter zorsts with nothing in the middle Very Happy

At low revs you can hear the induction sucking air into the carbs as a kind of 'whooping' noise superimposed on the 'lump-lump-lump'. At high speed it kind of snorts and grunts like an enraged bull elephant. I actually heard him coming up behind me to overtake my GPZ when I had 120 indicated on the clocks!

When it comes to speed, there is no substitute for cubes!

Well I dunno, they all sound cool to me. I like the sound my Super Tenere makes, all grunty and stuff especially in traffic.

My mate - who had her last R6 nicked while at a trackday in Corby a few weeks back - has just been round with her brand new R6 (14 miles on the clock), it still smells all new and the zorst isnt even blued yet Shocked

Just the sound of her happily starting it up and going "rinnnnn rinnnn" down the road has made me grin from ear to ear.

Sorry guys, but you would be hard pushed to hear a better sound than 20 Formula Once cars coming out of the 2nd bend at Magny Cours on full throttle. I swear my chest almost collapsed - It was awsome!

I love the sound of my GS500 under full acelleration, but nothing comes near a Ducati GP bike whailing down the straight at donnington!

I also love the growl of the CB500's in the CB500 Cup!

I did mention the Ducati's at Donny Razz

Plus the CB is the only bike I'll probably ever own out of them unless I win the lottery or something. Sad

I'd have to say the Fila Ducati BSB bike at Knockhill. That's because I've never been to a MotoGP race.

I love the sound of Ducati's. Anything thing with less than 4 pots. Seen a SV650 with a race can going through town today - bloody hell do they sound good!!! Thumbs Up Very Happy

Although my full Remus system sounds the mutts gonads too Wink

I admit the sound of 22 F1 cars going through Eau Rouge at Spa was pretty amazing... but if I had to choose to listen to one I'd pick the sound of my own bike Very Happy

I would very much like to hear a Honda S6 IOM racer on full chat. A six cylinder 250cc four stroke! race bike with desmotronic valvegear. Redlines at 18,500rpm. Six exhausts, three down each side.

Air cooled.

KABLOOOUUUMMM

Not my favourite bike noise, but when a Harley with open pipes starts up in a town centre, EVERYONE looks round to see where the explosion came from.

always impressive.
